french broad luscious chocolates: testimonials

people love chocolate

Don't worry, they're not all by Susie from New York.  We just thought it was funny how she wrote us after every truffle she consumed.  Note that means mostly in one night....

You guys.  Seriously.  These are amazing!  The packing is SO sweet and so fancy.  So far I've had the Kentucky Bourbon (I didn't catch a buzz :( ) and my friend Gwyther had Cayenne.  Gwyther said he liked the hot after taste on the Cayenne.  I like the warm afterglow of the Knob Creek and Vanilla.  I was expecting more of an alcohol-y flavor while I was eating it, but was supper happy with the afterglow!!  Raspberry is OFF THE CHAIN!  I can taste the freshness of the berries.  Can they be fresh in January?! Kick booty.  I LOVE the map.  I can't wait to link to your website on my blog!  And tell everyone and their moms about you guys!  I'm so impressed by all you three, soon to be four, and all you accomplish. What distances you have traveled!  What seasoned entrepreneurs!  I admire you guys and am glad and honored to call you friends.

Sorry for all the emails. I obviously am eating them faster than I intended!  Peru's depth is mind boggling! Reading the description helped a lot in understanding the flavors I was experiencing-the terroir of cacao is obviously as important as it is in grapes for wine. I LOVE IT.

RE: Masala Chai

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?  Those flavors should NOT be in chocolate and it's the BEST one I've eaten so far.  I groaned.  OUT LOUD.  After my first bite. Wow.  Just wow.  I'm so glad you guys left grad school!!

RE: YOU ARE SERIOUSLY KILLING IT WITH THESE SPICES!

The Indian Kulfi. I'm sorry I have nothing constructive to say about this one. I f'-ing love it.

I love the chocolate on top of the cafe au lait -that it looks like a coffee bean is the bomb diggity.

And the COFFEE fla-vor is GREAT. My roommate's reaction: "coffee...with milk." !!

Just wow on the double mint. Wow. And the MOLE. I don't eat spicy things and I LOVED it. It's like somehow you derived the essence of peppers. The real, non-scary, non-spicy, essence.

Absolutely loving what you're doing.

Michelle from Miami, FL

These chocolates are like nothing I've ever tasted in all of my 27 chocoholic years. I'm hooked. As a fellow foodie myself, I must say that the flavor combinations just tickle my palate. They are simple and complex all at the same time, and the result is pure chocolate pleasure. You must try these truffles or I fear you will never know true gastronomic bliss. These things are just THAT good."

Eric from Minneapolis, MN

so the little brown box with the little brown bow, arrived in an unassuming way, just inside of USPS box wrapped in bubble wrap. as we opened up the box and read through the comments on each chocolate, i thought "everyone says their stuff is great, with a hint of this, and an on your palate, etc, etc". so we split the first piece, one of us may have fainted, the memory is hazy about what actually happened. both palates danced, and sang, and neither was left wanting (except for more damn chocolate bits of goodness). needless to say, the unassuming box of chocolates did not last long. we actually wanted to rid ourselves of it rather quickly, with the thought on my mind, "should anyone really have something this perfect?"

Chris from Asheville, NC

Those chocolates were the most gorgeous, make you stop in your tracks, close your eyes, feel weak in the knees, catch your breath and thank the heavens for blessing us with such a gift.  In short, you kicked the butt off The Chocolate Fetish!  I am such a chocoholic and I was stunned at how fabulous your candies were.  I have only compliments for you all.  We all enjoyed them so much (not just me!) and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Re: holy shi_

i just ate the masala chai truffle, and it was the most delicious thing i've ever put in my mouth.

i am in love.

Nancy & Max from Beverly Hills, CA

we devoured our box. it was fantastic. i especially dug the Peru. max said the flavors were assertive' as a compliment. i think the mint was well done too, and that cayenne really did have kick to it!

Suzanne from Minneapolis, MN

My tummy, Greg and I thank you for the delicious, organic chocolates. To my delight, a beautiful package from you arrived! The sample box experience was like traveling around the world through all the delicate flavors from many cultures – one delicious nibble at a time.

Joanna from Boulder, Colorado

I love the packaging! The ribbon really adds a nice touch. And blue and brown are a good match. My face definitely lit up when I saw the box.  I ate the Fresh Raspberry, the Maple, and the Lavender Honey. They were all delicious! My favorite of those three is the raspberry. So yummy! The other ones were delicious, too. You can really taste all the flavors. One can tell that these are really good quality chocolates.

Liz from Oakland, CA

Got the chocolates and they f*&*(^g rock.  Mole rocks.  It...is...so...good... and I am so fat!

Juneko from Durham, NC

Thank you thank you for the exquisitely delicious chocolates. We loved the subtlety of the flavors. My favorites were the Chai and the Peru, I think. Oh and the lavender. Well, all of them. Yum.

Joan from Jefferson, NC

Imagine our surprise and delight when we received a stunning box of chocolates in the mail!!! First we had to admire the shipping container, typefaces, ribbon, sticker, name, logo, colors, textures.....it was 2 days before we even opened the box!! Then we were REALLY blown away. Such a professional presentation....serious, yet playful. A masterpiece. We still hadn't tasted. We had to read, smell, look, prolong the anticipation. Finally the eating began...2 one-half pieces at a sitting ( half for me, half for Michael). With a cup of tea. Heaven. Each time, the one we have just eaten is our favorite. If I HAD to pick a favorite it might be Ecuador. But another time it might be something else. They are each one a treasure.
